The FSA Congres already had many succesfull editions. Prominent speakers, motivated students and a beautiful location have led to many preceding interesting days. On April 28th the most recent FSA Congres took place. The theme was: 'The financial system under review'.
A series in-house days for students which are interested in accountancy. A day will contain a presentation/ workshop and a visit to an interesting client of the concerning accountancy firm. The day will be closed with a reception/ dinner. Try to get to know the different accountancy firms, and help them getting to know you.
The International Banking Cycle is organized by the FSA in collaboration with the FSR (Financial Study association Rotterdam). The event takes place in October and November 2009. During the days you get the opportunity to come into contact with several investment banks from London. The banks give workshops, presentations and conduct interviews with possible employees or interns.
A team of 20 students will travel to an emerging market to do five weeks of research for companies they got assignments from during the preceding six month acquisition period. Assignments vary from a market analysis to finding a local business partner. After the field research, a report is written and the results are presented to the company that gave the assignment.
De National Investment Competition, voorheen bekend als de Landelijke BeleggingsCompetitie, is met elk jaar zo'n 450 deelnemers uiterst succesvol! Het doel van de competitie is met het fictieve bedrag van €100.000 een zo hoog mogelijk rendement te behalen door te online te beleggen op de beurs. Dit jaar zal er eerst een voorronde van zes weken plaatsvinden. De beste uit deze ronde gaan door naar de finaleronde. The Beroependagen is a career event whereby students and companies come together at a stunning location in the heart of Amsterdam. Through presentations, workshops, interviews, lunches, dinners and drinks students get the chance to meet their future employer.
The Multinational Battle is a relatively new three day event for finance and controlling where teams of students will solve a case. The Multinational Battle is a project of the Financial Association of the Netherlands (FAN). It is a project where students can get to know appealing companies in the field of controlling.
Fort Boyard aims at 2nd- 3rd- and 4th-year students in Accountancy, Business Administration an Economics. During Fort Boyard one can get to know the "big four" accountancy firms. There will be assignments that have to be solved in a competition and the winner goes home with a nice prize.
The London Banking Tour gives 24 selected students the opportunity to come in contact with the ten most prominent investment banks. The event takes place in September. Through workshops, drink receptions and dinners in London you will get to know all the aspects of the world of investment banking.
In this project 30 students tackle a real life case during 6 days. Together with five of the most prestigious strategy consultancy offices, you will tackle an interesting and complex problem and also advice the client on how to handle this problem. You will brainstorm, hold interviews, define the strategy and implementation process and explore all the other facets of the consultancy profession. This project is available for Dutch students only.
During these courses prominent speakers from the academic world will discuss various topics. The FSA Master Courses are both for UvA and VU students and provide a unique opportunity to gain a better insight in the topics discussed.
During this investment event you will be introduced to different companies related to investments and banking. During these days we will use the boat as transport to visit all the financial related companies.

This brand new event will offer bachelor students a deeper and better insight in the difficult choice of which Master specialization one should choose. Professionals from various companies will represent different specializations. They will tell about their field of work and how one can maximize the chance of being employed in that particular sector.
