• Nutrition – DSM is the world’s largest producer of vitamins and carotenoids. We’re also a leading supplier of value-added (and increasingly non-chemical) ingredients for the food and beverage industries. 
• Pharma – Many of the world’s top selling medicines contain ingredients developed and produced by DSM. For instance, DSM Anti-Infectives is the leading global manufacturer of penicillin derivatives.
• Performance Materials – DSM is a leading global supplier of polyamides. These are used in technical components for industries such as electrics and electronics, automotive, engineering and packaging. We also invented Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™. And we’re an important producer of resins used in everything from sewer pipes to luxury cars.
• Polymer Intermediates – We produce caprolactam and acrylonitrile – the raw materials used in many of our own synthetic fibers, nylons and plastics. It’s known in the industry as being ‘backwards integrated’, and it gives us a huge advantage in terms of process, efficiency and sustainability.
