Leonardo & Co. is the investment banking division of the continental European banking group Gruppo Banca Leonardo (GBL).
GBL was established in its current form in 2006 when Gerardo Braggiotti (former head of the European activities of Lazard) backed by some of Europe's most prominent investors and families acquired and recapitalised the existing banking group GBL. Our shareholders include the Agnelli, David-Weill, Frère and Abello families as well as institutional investor Allianz.
Leonardo & Co. offers independent corporate finance advisory services with a team of over 150 experienced and renowned bankers in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Rome and Zurich. The corporate finance activities of Leonardo & Co. are focused on M&A advisory as well as debt and equity (re)structuring advice.
In January 2009, Leonardo & Co. opened an office in Amsterdam. Currently, the Amsterdam office consists of 10 corporate finance professionals.
Throughout the year, Leonardo & Co. offers internship opportunities in its Amsterdam office to talented and ambitious students in the final stage of their studies. During a 3-6 month internship, students work in a stimulating environment on various assignments for clients in a range of industries.
As an intern you act as a full member of a project team on advisory projects for clients. Together with the team, you will assist in preparing marketing materials for clients, conducting market, industry and company analyses, preparing financial and valuation analyses for projects and supporting due diligence processes.
During the internship you have the opportunity to experience what investment banking is really about. You will gain first-hand experience of the possibilities a career in banking could offer you, and get a feel for Leonardo & Co.’s culture. You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the job training and experience what makes Leonardo & Co.’s proposition so exciting. We aim to give our interns the same level of exposure as a first-year analyst. During the course of your internship you can expect to work closely with an analyst and have regular contact with senior bankers.
