Personal
“At this moment, I am studying Econometrics and Operations Research for three years. Last year, I decided I didn’t just want to learn theory, but want to gain some practical and organizational experience as well. I then chose to be an active member of the FSA, because I was attracted by the professional image and appearance of the association.

Because I was an active investor at the time, it felt natural to participate in the Traders Trophy committee and organize this event. After the success of the TT and the kick that organizing this project gave me, I decided to take the next step and to become a board member.

Next year, I’ll be fulfilling the role of chairman. Besides the responsibilities that come with this function, I will coordinate the FSA Congress, National Investment Competition and I will set up the new FSA Mutual Fund.”

Personal
''The last couple of years I have constantly been searching for new challenges. Challenges which will not only help me experience new things, but which are also really valuable and instructive. Together with my strong will to travel, it helped me making my decision to study this year in Mexico for one semester. Being there gave me the opportunity to think about my next step. Since I already got in contact with the FSA through organizing the Traders Trophy 2008, a year as board member in this association accorded to me as the best option. This because of the association’s international aspects, professional way of working and the learning experience I will get.''

''Coming year I will fulfill the role of secretary and I will coordinate the Traders Trophy 2009, Access Accountancy en the Research Project 2010.''

''After four years of studying at the UvA I almost finished my masters in Business Economics. During my time as a student I lived in Barcelona for two years. Last year I got to know the FSA. The professionalism and atmosphere of the association impressed me and I have partaken in various activities. I find the function the FSA has valuable, because it allows me to get a good image of the job market and to find out more about the practice behind the theory that one learns at the university.''

"After three years of studying business administration at the VU it was time for a new challenge. During last year I was already an active member of the FSA where I organized the National Investment Competition. This year I will be one of the two external relations commissioners and a proud board member of the FSA. I will be held responsible for the long term relationship management, the complete acquisition and the other aspects of managing external relations. Besides the tasks of my function I also will coordinate the following projects: Consultition, Fort Boyard and the Bachelor Orientation Days. Personal - Tamo Arends
''This year is already my fourth year as a student at the University of Amsterdam. I almost finished my Bachelor of economics, but before I start studying for my master’s I want to develop myself in other aspects. After studying in Hong Kong for a semester I thought it was time to become a board member of the FSA. As my experiences so far are great I never regretted that decision. The FSA and its members are ambitious, clever and professional. It is a big challenge to make our organization even more professional and to guide it successfully through these turbulent economic times.

Together with Bob I will hold the position of External Relations. In addition, I will coordinate Fort Boyard, the Multinational Battle and the London Banking Tour.''
